Top 10 Employee Incentives Any Employer Can Offer

Everyone has heard of Google’s seemingly endless list of employee incentives and perks, from free massages and swimming pools to food and dry cleaning. You don’t need to be a multi-billion company to offer your employees some extremely valuable benefits at your business. Below are 10 incentives any company can provide to their employees immediately:

Car wash – Hire a mobile service to come onsite and wash and detail employees’ cars.

Massage – Nothing helps reduce stress like a massage.  Offer each employee a five- minute massage to show them your appreciation.

Video Games – Hire a video trailer to come to your parking lot, and up to 20 people can compete against each other in HD on big-screen TV’s provided by the gaming company.

Dry Cleaning – You want your employees to look sharp, so coordinate with a local dry-cleaner to offer pick up service directly from your office. Many already offer free delivery so they would appreciate the extra business.

Lunch – From caterings to food trucks, the number of options for lunch is limitless. If there’s a food you like, chances are there’s a company willing and able to bring it to you…at a reasonable cost.

24/7 Access to Food/Drink – Have a micro market like Company Kitchen installed for free and give your employees around-the-clock access to fresh and healthy food and drinks whenever they want to take a break.

Coffee Bar – Everyone loves a designer coffee or custom “steamer.”  Hire a mobile coffee shop to be your “in-house barista,” even if it is only for an hour.  With many places charging by-the-hour, it’s a nice perk that won’t break the bank.

Happy Hour – Choose one Friday a month (or more) and provide wine and beer for an hour or two before the office closes. Salty snacks like pretzels, crackers, and cheese are a nice addition, too.

Volunteer – How do you volunteer without leaving the office?  Organize a blood drive, food drive, or toy drive around the Holidays. People will feel great participating, and they won’t need to leave the office.

Autograph signing – Have employees bring their family, and get some media attention with this event! Whether it’s a local sports star, mascot, cheerleading squad, author, or TV weatherman, people love meeting celebrities. When paired with an author’s book tour or a sport team’s promotion before their season begins, it can be a win-win for both parties involved.

Have you had any success with these incentives or others?  Let us know what’s worked and how your employees felt when they received these perks.
